Penny Licks on Bedford Ave.

Just Desserts at a visit to Penny Licks, my favorite bakery in Willyburg. Clockwise: strawberry ice cream, Vegan Treats carrot cake, and pumpkin flavored whoopie pie.

We really wanted the $1.00 penny licks cone speciality (The cone is very tiny, but the amount of ice cream is surprisingly fulfilling), but apparently the distributor is out of business for the winter season, and they didn’t stock up on enough cones in time! So long recession-priced ice cream! But the extra scoops of strawberry ice cream didn’t treat us too wrong either.

On our way to pay, we also discovered someone’s desperate attempt at a shot at love, or just a pretty hilarious prank? Written on the back of a Penny Licks business card.
